If your cable service provider offers a service called Multi-Room DVR, they are almost certainly using MoCA to enable it. BUT, i see two other cables going into my house that are connected to nothing. MoCA stands for the Multimedia over Coax Alliance. something something?Īlso, in looking at my enclosure outside ( ), i see the cable line come in (orange) and connect to, what appears to be a grounded POE, then into one coaxial cable into my house. Cable from provider -> poe filter -> enters house -> coaxial from wall goes into moca -> goes into cable router. Q1) are there any diagrams online I missed? i.e. I have the general concept for setting this up, but haven't seen an example of HOW to do it with a modem/router that plugs directly into the coaxial for internet service I'm hoping to use a moca setup for better connections in my house.
